The Public Group incorprates Public-Democracy Pty Ltd and Public-Democracy America. It originally was established with a mission to empower constituency to influence public policy and poliical outcomes by providing new more efficient tools for prospective decision makers to trial policies, products and content.
The Public-Democracy App can change the way people interact with all forms of digital content:
- Visual content (videos, TV & mobile devices),
- With each other (mutual response & interactivity),
- With their elected representatives (Local, State & Federal),
- Globally in Communities of Interest (social, environmental and political advocacy).
The platform empowers people through the use of web tools, downloadable applications for smart phones, tablets and other devices, and secure intranet solutions.

The Public Group's product delivers immediate interactive results to questions posed via the app by politicians, unions, polling companies and any large, member-driven organisation. Public-Democracy Pty Ltd has a patent pending for the technology used in these Apps (both IOS & Android), in particular in the area of Bio-Metric Interactive Feedback.
A proto-type of the product has been successfully tested in a live environment using an elected politician in Australia (Qld Liberal Party) with the following results:
- The test field returned a 7.5% response rate
- When combined with the use of other social media the overall response rate was enhanced.
- On the relevant Facebook account the “Talking About” rate was lifted from 5% when the product was not used, to 50% when the product was incorporated with traditional social
- The proto-type was field-tested over a 9-month period during which time it never failed
New technology feedback mechanisms such as text messaging have demonstrated contempo- rary consumers’ desire to interact with content.
But until now these methods have been clumsy to use and limited in their functionality.
The Public-Democracy App takes advantage of the high penetration of smartphones and tablets amongst consumer populations to create a personal feedback mechanism that offers a broader range of functions, lower costs, speed, immediacy and responsiveness that can be integrated with social media channels.

Gary S. Davis

Eric Gyors
Eric Gyors has more than 25 years experience in the political arena, as a State and Federal Campaign Director, formerly for The Australian Democrats.
He is accredited with the election of a number of politicians to State & Federal Parliaments and with helping the Party raise substantial funds, through implementing new and innovative campaign techniques.
Prior to this he founded and ran ‘Australian Real Estate Computer Systems’ (ARECS), the largest creator/supplier of turn-key computer systems for the Real Estate Industry in the southern hemisphere at the time. He is one of two principal founders of iPowow Ltd. Currently operating in the U.S.A., iPowow is the single most successful supplier of second screen technology – the inter- action between viewers and TV shows in a real time environment. It utilizes a second device such as a smart phone or tablet allowing for interaction with TV programs and is being used by major networks (FOX, NBC, CBS, Disney).

Gabrielle Allen
Gabrielle has been a marketing, production, sales and brand licensing executive for over three decades, pioneering award-winning marketing and publicity campaigns for film, technology and consumer products in domestic and worldwide markets. As the Executive Director of an international brand management, advertising and marketing firm, she oversaw the global production of 25 satellite offices, with an annual budget of $500 million. As Co-Founder and President of Motive Productions, Inc., she engaged in the development, financing and production of independent features, documentaries and TV. She was a Partner at Motive Entertainment, the marketing company Gabrielle has planned and executed highly innovative and successful campaigns with all the major Film Studios and several broadcast TV networks, including Warner Bros, Universal, MGM, Disney, NBC and ABC, and has collaborated on the development of some of the first video and web apps used by Facebook and other social media/communications technology platforms. In recent years, her passion to help bring about global strategic alliances that stimulate and impact positive change.

Dr. Barry Ferrier
Barry supervises the implementation of all marketing material, and he designed and manages the websites for the Public Group and sustains the company’s social media presence. He has a PhD in Multimedia design and was previously Assistant Professor of Multimedia at Bond University and has also lectured in multimedia design at Griffith University, Central Queensland, Southern Cross University, the School of Audio Engineering at Byron Bay and Kingscliff TAFE. Barry owns Byron Bay Organics, a certified organic ginger and turmeric farm, and he also maintains a career as a professional musician and actor. Barry advises the board on IT integration and internet optimization strategies.
